This one day workshop will focus on the challenges which arise when mediating with unrepresented parties which are now a regular feature of the mediation landscape - in particular in cases referred through the National Mediation Helpline and Court based schemes. The course is open to those who have successfully completed a recognised Mediator Training Course and is designed to build on the mediation skills developed by participants during such a Course. ~ Mediation in Practice – Expanding Your Toolkit ~

This 4 hour workshop will be led by experienced Mediators and will focus on challenges which they have faced when mediating in a variety of difficult circumstances and will discuss the methods which they have found to work best. There will be opportunities for participants to discuss their own worst nightmare when mediating and to debate whether they chose the right options or might have used an alternative strategy.
