Belinda practices mainly in international commercial and shipping law, appearing regularly in the Admiralty and Commercial Courts and the Court of Appeal, as well as in arbitration and in public inquiries She is particularly able in the management of "document-heavy" cases, including those involving more than one language, at both the disclosure stage and during preparation for and at trial. Another of Belinda Bucknall's skills is her ability to absorb complex matters of expertise in different fields. Recent cases have involved issues as wide ranging as metallurgy, meteorology, marine engineering, fire, chemistry, the technology of iron smelting, rope techniques for high level access to structures such as rigs and survival medicine to name but a few. These skills have proved particularly valuable in the various heavy actions in which she has been involved. Personal Belinda Bucknall has a longstanding interest in the RNLI and enjoys ice skating, canoeing, white water rafting and back-country camping. She is a member of the Worshipful Company of Shipwrights. |
