Born in 1967, Karim read law at St Edmund Hall, Oxford, and completed a doctorate in Islamic Law at Pembroke College, Cambridge. His main area of practice is general commercial law, including sale of goods, International trade, and shipping law. He also appears in the High Court and County Court on general Chancery matters, including landlord and tenant, easements and adverse possession. Karim has a particular expertise in Islamic commercial and arbitration laws, Egyptian, Omani and UAE civil laws, and can provide expert opinions in these areas by arrangement. He is also an accredited mediator and undertakes commercial mediations in his areas of practice and expertise. He is fluent in Arabic and French, with a working knowledge of Spanish, and can accept papers in the languages in which he is fluent. |
