John’s main practice is in the fields of environmental law, particularly pollution and toxic cases but including some environmental insurance, product liability, clinical negligence and personal injury.

Much of his personal injury work has been in industrial disease, multi party actions and major trauma cases. His experience is also particularly relevant for medical employment issues. He has been involved in many cases containing transnational disputes and disputed forum issues, particularly in relation to the United States. John has given expert evidence on such questions on a number of occasions in the US. The application of scientific evidence to legal issues and the interface between science and the law is also a special interest.
