Career: LLB. University of the West of England, Bristol LLM (Commercial & Industrial Law) UWE , Bristol Called to the Bar July 2002, Joined Chambers in Exeter 2003 upon successful completion of pupillage.   Qualified Mediator ADR Chambers UK  September 2006

Principal Areas of Practice: Simon is principally a Civil Practitioner and undertakes work in the following areas:

Contractual Disputes, Negligence claims and Property Work, including Domestic and Commercial Landlord and Tenant. Personal Injury Claimant and Defendant.

Simon is also developing an interest in Commercial Litigation and has had experience in Contested Insolvency and Contractual cases.

Simon is a strong believer in need to actively manage Litigation Risk particularly in Commercial Disputes and to that end he is a firm advocate of all methods of Alternative Dispute Resolution. Simon trained and qualified as Mediator with ADR Chambers UK.

Simon has a keen interest in Construction Law and hopes to start an MSc in Construction Law & Dispute Resolution at Kings College London in September 2007 (Part Time 2 Years).

Languages: Simon has a good working knowledge of French and a basic grasp of Spanish. He has just started learning German.

Personal: When Simon is not working he enjoys cooking, entertaining and Country Pursuits, including Shooting. He particularly enjoy Skiing, Cycling, playing Tennis, Hockey and (now) watching Rugby. He is also an avid car fan and enjoys travelling in Europe and beyond.
