EXPERIENCE PRIOR TO JANUARY 2006

My experience of mediation prior to January 2006 was principally as an advocate.  During that period I was involved in mediating a number of property disputes principally on behalf of building developer clients.

Prior to January 2006 I also conducted occasional small informal mediations at the request of Solicitors in the Bournemouth area.  It was as a result of that experience that I took the decision to seek formal qualification as a mediator.

EXPERIENCE POST JANUARY 2006

Since being accredited by ADR Chambers I have acted as Mediator in a number of substantial disputes including building and wrongful dismissal claims.   I have also acted as Mediator in a number of Small Claims Mediations (approximately 45 minutes  -- 1 hour each).

I have also continued to be involved in the mediation of substantial disputes as advocate and as supervising Partner.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE

I was admitted as a Solicitor in 1987 and for much of my practicing career have dealt with both contentious and non-contentious property matters.  My client portfolio includes substantial local property developers.  I have also represented one of the major banks in connection with lending on new build development projects.

I have fairly extensive experience in both the Lands Tribunal and Leasehold Valuation Tribunal in addition to the High Court and County Court.
