Sitting as High Court Judge in Family Division of the Supreme Court since 1976.
Past extensive Crown Court experience including charge for half the year of the Snaresbrook Crown and County Court. Main duties for many years at the Royal Courts of Justice in the Family Division for 8 months each year. Additional extensive duties at the Mayor's and City of London Court sitting in commercial and tort cases, involving personal injuries. Also sittings at Central London County Court in the same jurisdiction, as well as Middlesex Crown Court. Appointed part-time Judge by Lord Chancellor 2002.

A long serving Governor of the University of London, City University, London School of Economics, Birkbeck College and Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Currently involved in medical and dental cases as Legal Assessor of the General Dental Council and General Medical Council.
