His areas of practice include insurance law (including coverage, defence, Lloyd's/London market, primary/excess and reinsurance issues), products liability, personal injury, professional liability, directors' and officers' liability, transportation, other contract and tort litigation, sports and entertainment disputes, administrative law and conflict of laws issues. He has supervised or managed litigation in the United States, Hong Kong and the Caribbean and acted as counsel on international commercial arbitrations.
Graeme has conducted over 300 mediations and arbitrations as a neutral involving a diverse range of disputes. These cases have included personal injury, insurance, landlord and tenant, contract, intellectual property, professional negligence, defamation, sports, financial services and partnership matters.
He has adjudicated/arbitrated over 30 doping cases involving a wide range of sports. He has been an independent fact-finder in a case involving allegations of harassment abuse (Coach/athlete) and has conducted arbitration and appeal hearings in sport cases involving harassment, compensation for player development and selection issues. He acts as a Judicial Officer for the International Rugby Board.
He has lectured on mandatory mediation and the use of ADR in sports disputes and has acted as a facilitator at various mediation and negotiation training programmes. He is a member of the arbitration and mediation panels of the Sports Dispute Resolution Centre of Camada, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) and the ADR Institute of Canada.
He is the President of the Commonwealth Lawyers Association, a Past President of the Toronto Nomads Rugby Football Club and a member of the Anti-Doping Advisory Committee of the International Rugby Board.
